Our History

When INOVA’s founder, David Jokinen, was 15 years old he was a card carrying union bricklayer for his father’s home building company. At that early age David knew that there had to be an easier way to construct houses, and that thought was permanently planted into the young man’s mind.

Fast forward 50 years and several successful ventures.

While in San Antonio, TX for a real estate convention, David was eating breakfast preparing for a lecture he was giving that morning. In between bites David glanced down and saw a newspaper article covering a company that was using a new Systems-Built construction process. After all this time, the seed that had been planted as a Detroit teen was resurfacing and bearing fruit. The mission to learn more about Systems-Built construction began, and several years of Research & Development later INOVA Homes was born.

Although INOVA is a new company on paper (incorporated in Texas in 2005), David’s R&D process allowed him to learn the business by acting as a consultant on a number of projects. David has also personally toured over 35 Systems-Built construction facilities across the US.

Now that INOVA is fully functioning, David’s experience has come full circle from the back breaking work of laying bricks, to a successful venture that is using the newest high tech construction techniques available.
